ROBERT SZYBA - ATTORNEY OF SEYFARTH SHAW, LLP
SPEAKING ON THE CONCEPT AND HISTORY OF DISPARATE IMPACT FROM A LEGAL ASPECT AND EXAMPLES OF U.S. CASES THAT HIS FIRM HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN OR REVIEWED.
Robert T. Szyba is an attorney with Chicago firm, Seyfarth Shaw, LLP. He defends and counsels employers on a wide range of employment-related issues, including background check and Fair Credit Reporting Act violations, “ban the box” issues, prevailing wage requirements, wage and hour compliance, whistleblower retaliation, family and medical leave compliance and interference/retaliation claims, paid sick leave, and discrimination/harassment.
Mr. Szyba currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the New Jersey Labor and Employment Law Quarterly, a publication of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. He is an active member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and The Sidney Reitman Employment Law American Inn of Court.
KEVIN HOPP - OMAHA ATTORNEY

Kevin is a Nebraska licensed attorney practicing since 1986. He earned an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska in 1983, and a law degree from the University of Nebraska School of Law in 1986. From 1988 until 1994 he was legal counsel to the Omaha Housing Authority and has continued to provide legal services to many property management companies and property owners throughout Eastern Nebraska. His practice focus includes all areas of landlord and tenant law, property management, fair housing, real estate, estate planning and probate and he has earned an “AV” rating, the highest available from the legal reference Martindale Hubble. Kevin has served as legal counsel for the Apartment Association of Nebraska since 2004 and has provided the National Apartment Association with counsel and guidance in developing its apartment lease and forms for use in the State of Nebraska.

John Benson has been affiliated with Tenant Data since 1992. John is frequently asked to teach, present and speak about tenant screening around the U.S. John also attends Background Screening Conferences which help keep him informed on the latest regulations and products available to Background Screeners and landlords.
